Manlius Pebble Hill School
5300 Jamesville Rd, DeWitt, NY 13214
MPH was formed in 1970 by a merger of the Manlius School (a boys' military boarding school founded in 1869) and Pebble Hill School (a coeducational day school begun in 1927). With the merger, the military program was dropped and the school assumed its present status. The lower school offers individualized instruction with an emphasis on skills in reading and mathematics, as well as full curricula in science and social studies. Foreign language conversation and culture are also introduced. All-day prekindergarten and kindergarten programs are available. Middle and upper school classes follow a college preparatory curriculum. MPH offers Advanced Placement courses in all disciplines, and the school also provides opportunities for independent study, community service and travel abroad. Fine and performing arts programs and physical education serve pupils at all grade levels. A limited boarding program enables students in grades 9-12 to live with host families chosen from parents, faculty members and administrators.
