4155 Russell Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027

LILA pupils learn to read, write and speak both English and French by the end of grade 5. In preschool, all children learn in a traditional French classroom setting, regardless of their language proficiency. English is added to the curriculum gradually beginning in kindergarten, and by grade 5 classes are conducted in equal parts French and English. Boys and girls take the French Brevet exam at the end of grade 9. High schoolers pursue the International Baccalaureate diploma. Students complete 150 hours of community service in grades 11 and 12. The Russell Avenue campus houses grades PS-12; additional primary school locations operate on North Marion Avenue in Pasadena, on North Tustin Avenue in Santa Ana and on Lindley Avenue in Tarzana.
