Enrolling boys and girls who have had difficulties at home, in the community and at school, Logan River provides year-round services for students with learning disabilities, emotional special needs or substance abuse issues. The multidisciplinary program balances education, therapy and a structured residential environment. Middle school and high school course work satisfies state core requirements and includes independent study and online class options. Residential staff model appropriate behavior and provide direct assistance for students. Pupils engage in three main types of recreational activities: adventure learning pursuits; diversionary/incentive activities, which are awarded for progress and achievement; and organized sports and routine fitness activities. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Anorexia Nervosa, Anxiety Disorders, Asperger's Syndrome, Auditory Processing Disorders, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Emotional Disturbances, Learning Differences, Mood Disorder, Nonverbal Learning Differences, Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Sexually Abused, School Phobia, Substance Abuse, Tourette’s Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury.
