Latin offers a traditional college preparatory curriculum supplemented by the performing and applied arts, clubs, athletics and student-run publications. The middle school curriculum includes interdisciplinary and project-based learning opportunities; a writing lab; and an arts cycle that consists of art, drama and music. A featured course for ninth graders is an interdisciplinary global studies class that that explores cultural centers around the world. The upper school curriculum features four foreign languages; an extensive selection of electives in history, English and science; and AP courses in many subjects. An annual project week provides nontraditional learning opportunities for those in grades 6-12 in an on- or off-campus setting. Students accumulate 30 hours of required community service prior to the start of junior year. Latin conducts an extensive interscholastic sports program; the vast majority of middle and upper school students participate in at least one sport annually.
