Serving students of above-average ability, Keystone conducts a college preparatory program that emphasizes knowledge acquisition, study skills and the mastery of fundamental skills. Lower and middle schoolers (grades K-8) engage in core course work in language arts, math, science and social studies; specialists teach Spanish, studio art, music, computer applications and physical education classes. The upper school (grades 9-12) features a broad selection of honors and Advanced Placement offerings. All upper schoolers perform at least 12 cumulative hours of community service prior to graduation. Field trips, which provide enrichment at all grade levels, range from daylong trips to Austin and San Marcos to multi-day hiking and camping excursions to the Yellowstone, Yosemite and Olympic national parks.
