John F. Kennedy International School
3792 Saanen, Switzerland
Situated approximately two miles from the resort of Gstaad, the school is housed in five typical Bernese chalets in the village of Saanen. Emphasizing basic academic skills and sound study habits, the curriculum prepares students for enrollment into Canadian, American and British secondary schools. The program features small classes, with individualized instruction and a family-like atmosphere in an international environment. Beginning at age 6, all boys and girls take French, and English as a Second Language is available to pupils lacking fluency in the language. The Alpine location offers many opportunities for sports and activities, including daily skiing during the winter. A summer camp program combines ESL instruction with sports and recreation.
