International School of Havana

315 Calle 18, Miramar, CP 11300 Havana, Cuba

The school was founded to provide an English-language education for children of the expatriate business and diplomatic communities in Havana. Preparation for the IGCSE examinations begins in grade 6, and students' progress is moderated through checkpoint tests. After the IGCSE, students in grades 11 and 12 pursue an internationally focused program leading to the ISH diploma. As this program of study is derived from the IB Diploma Program, boys and girls who satisfy the externally assessed requirements of the International Baccalaureate Organization are awarded the IB Diploma as well.
