International School of Aberdeen

296 N Deeside Rd, Milltimber, Aberdeen, AB13 0AB Scotland

Founded as the American School in Aberdeen to provide a US-style education for children of oil industry workers from North America, ISA has served primarily families involved with the oil industry and the American military. Although approximately three-quarters of the enrollment continue to come from the US and Canada, a growing number of countries are represented in the student body; in response to this changing population, the school assumed its current name and initiated an IB program in 1994. Located about 100 miles northeast of Edinburgh, Aberdeen is a port city on the North Sea, lying between the mouths of the Dee and the Don rivers.
