International Community School of Addis Ababa
PO Box 70282, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Students from approximately 50 countries attend ICS. The American-based curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program prepare boys and girls for both American and international universities. Field trips provide enrichment at all grade levels: Elementary children may visit a local farm, a weaving studio or a coffee plantation, while secondary students take overnight trips to Ethiopian sites of interest to further their knowledge of aspects of science, history and culture. Counselors work with pupils and their families to facilitate transfer into or out of ICS, and the secondary school counselor assists boys and girls with the college admissions process.
