Indianhead International School
233-3 Howon-Dong, Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Do, 480-701 South Korea
Founded as an elementary school to meet the needs of the local expatriate community, Indianhead relocated to a 20-acre campus in 1996 to accommodate expansion of its academic program and its physical plant. The school's early childhood center provides a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children ages 3-6. Elementary-level instruction emphasizes basic academic skills while providing a foundation in phonics, math and critical-thinking skills. Computer science, art and music classes supplement traditional elementary subjects. In the middle school, pupils continue to develop fundamental learning skills and also gain familiarity with more abstract concepts. High school course work meets the needs of both college-bound students and those wishing to pursue nonacademic careers.
