Following the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, the program provides full-time, one-on-one instruction for children with autism and related disorders. An Individualized Education Plan is the foundation for the child's program, and a behavior analyst (or assistant behavior analyst) oversees each program. When students are ready, the center includes them in typical classroom settings, and time spent in these settings increases as appropriate. Social skills training is part of programming. The facility maintains separate sites for younger and older children: Younger boys and girls devote most of their time to one-on-one instruction, while also partaking in group activities; older students split the day between one-on-one programming and group activities. Training for parents with developmental delays addresses teaching, behavior management and child advocacy. Including Kids delivers services to parents through one-on-one training, workshops and consultations. In addition to its full-time program, Including Kids offers part-time social skills groups, community outreach and after-school tutoring. The school accepts the following conditions: Apraxia, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, Conduct Disorder, Emotional Disturbances, Pervasive Development Disorder.
