Hiroshima International School
3-49-1 Kurakake, Asakita-ku, Hiroshima, 739-1743 Japan
Courses in Japanese language and culture, as well as a variety of electives in the social sciences, art and music, enrich the internationally oriented curriculum at the school. Originally an elementary school, HIS gradually expanded its program through high school, culminating with the addition of grade 12 in August 2006. Course work eventually leads to the IGCSE examinations and the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Those seeking entrance into American universities may prepare for the College Boards and, if necessary, the TOEFL exam.
