HASC provides educational and clinical services for individuals from infancy through adulthood who exhibit developmental delays. The no-fee early intervention program, for children from birth to age 3, offers year-round evaluations and services at the child’s home, a daycare setting or one of HASC’s centers. Children ages 3-5 may participate in half- or full-day preschool programs; if the child's school district grants its approval, the preschool incurs no fee. The school-age educational program (ages 5-21) emphasizes functional skills such as Activities of Daily Living, academic achievement and socialization. In addition, the curriculum includes a prevocational component that incorporates travel training, community integration, socialization techniques, exploration of postgraduate programs, volunteer job experiences, workshop skills and hand-on work experiences. Therapy and psychological services are part of this program. Over the summer, Camp HASC offers sleep-away and day camp experiences for individuals of all ages who have mental or physical handicaps. The camp synthesizes academic and recreational programming. The school accepts the following conditions: Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities.
