Gill St. Bernard's School

St Bernard's Rd, PO Box 604, Gladstone, NJ 07934

The school resulted from the 1972 merger of the Gill School in Bernardsville, which was founded by Elizabeth Gill in 1934, and St. Bernard's School in Gladstone, founded by Rev. Thomas Conover as an Episcopal boarding school in 1900. GSB now occupies a 77-acre campus on the border of Morris and Somerset counties. The lower school offers a curriculum that includes language arts, computers, world languages, Singapore Math, social studies, science, art and music at all levels. The Spring Unit is an important element of the upper school curriculum. For two weeks at the end of the academic year, upper school students engage in learning outside of the classroom context.
