Founded and headed until 1960 by Roger C. Fenn, the school sends its graduates largely to New England college preparatory schools. The academic curriculum emphasizes study habits and fundamentals. The use of flexible sectioning and a departmentalized faculty allows the school to respond to the student's individual needs. Woodworking, art, drama and music are integral parts of each boy's program. In addition to computer labs and wireless laptop carts, all classrooms contain networked computers. Photography and video production classes utilize digital imaging software. All Fenn students participate in athletics, with interscholastic competition beginning in grade 8. Fenn's marching band is a well-known attraction in the Concord area, and its chorus has performed abroad.
