Located on two campuses, CPS offers an English-language curriculum that prepares students for college entrance in Puerto Rico and in the Continental US. Lower school (grades pre-K-4) and middle school (grades 5-8) classes, which are held at the Parkville campus in Guaynabo (ten miles south of San Juan), emphasize hands-on activities in the traditional subjects. Conducted on the Commonwealth campus in Hato Rey, the high school (grades 9-12) features an array of honors and Advanced Placement courses, as well as opportunities in the arts, with school publications and in athletics. ESL instruction is available for an additional fee, as is a support program that serves pupils in grades 1-12 who have mild learning differences or attention deficit disorder. Rounding out CPS' program are field trips, after-school activities and community service opportunities.
