Located on a 94-acre campus in southwest Denver, the academy maintains three divisions to meet the developmental and learning needs of its students: a lower school (grades pre-K-5), a middle school (grades 6-8) and an upper school (grades 9-12). Each division has its own curriculum, principal, faculty, classroom building, library, and science and computer laboratories. The entire school community meets for assembly on a regular basis. The curriculum, which is integrated throughout the school and builds on each preceding grade, emphasizes group and individual study of the liberal arts. A favorable student-teacher ratio allows faculty to work with individual students. Pupils in the lower grades take physical education, while those in grades 7-12 choose from a variety of fall, winter and spring sports. Fine arts offerings in all three divisions include instrumental and choral music, drama and visual arts. Technology is a learning tool in all subject areas. CA schedules community service days four times a year; all students take part. Boys and girls in the upper school perform 20 hours of required community service each year. A diverse student body enrolls from throughout the metropolitan and suburban areas.
