Colegio Colombo Britanico

Ave La Maria 69, Pance, Apartado Aereo 5774, Cali, Colombia

Founded to provide a bilingual environment for elementary and secondary students, CCB enrolls children as young as age 2 into its prekindergarten program. Although most pupils are Colombian nationals, approximately five percent of the enrollment comes from other countries. Faculty devote significant attention to the cultures of both Colombia and England. The integrated primary curriculum in grades 2-6 emphasizes inquiry and problem solving; as English is the main medium of instruction at this level, instructors encourage children to use English as their primary language of communication. The secondary school (grades 7-12) features programming leading to the Colombian Baccalaureate, the IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma. While pursuing the IB Diploma, students must take six courses, three at higher level and three at standard level.
