Chicago Academy for the Arts

1010 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60642

Every day, students at the academy spend five hours in college preparatory academic classes, followed by three hours of instruction in each student's major: visual arts, music, theater (performance and production), dance, musical theater or media arts (creative writing, film and animation). CAA offers more than 50 arts courses, among them ballet, jazz and modern dance, vocal and instrumental lessons, acting, directing, stagecraft, drawing, painting, sculpting, design, printmaking, film studies, video production, speech, poetry and prose fiction, and publishing. The majority of graduates matriculate at colleges or conservatories, while others immediately begin professional arts careers.
