The school provides special education for students with learning disabilities, ADHD or both. Chatham's individualized, small-group approach addresses various learning styles. Instructors utilize language-based and multisensory methods to teach academic skills, appropriate daily behavior and social skills. Field trips and interscholastic sports supplement classroom instruction. Depending upon the student's progress, some boys and girls transition back to traditional schools after three to five years, while others remain until graduation. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorders, Discalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Learning Differences, Nonverbal Learning Differences.
