Chapel Hill School for girls, a boarding school founded by New Church members in 1860, merged with the Chauncy Hall School for boys (established in 1828), a day school, on the Chapel Hill campus in 1971. Enrolling students from throughout the country and the world, CH-CH stresses personal growth and independence while providing a structured, supportive environment that is flexible enough to address the varied needs and talents of its diverse student body. Within the traditional college preparatory curriculum, the school offers a learning center and a ninth-grade program specifically designed to support first-year students.
