Calvert Hall College High School

Founded by the Brothers of the Christian Schools, Calvert Hall has occupied its present, 32-acre campus since 1960. The curriculum is college preparatory, offering a variety of programs. A four-year scholars program includes courses designed for intellectually gifted students, incorporating accelerated content, in-depth study, small-group discussions, interdisciplinary approaches and experiential learning. The writing program includes a staffed writing center. Juniors complete 24 hours of required community service. The school conducts a program for students with identified language-learning difficulties. Students in this program are fully integrated into the academic environment and receive additional instruction from a language specialist.
