Brunswick School

100 Maher Ave, Greenwich, CT 06830

Founded and directed for 30 years by George E. Carmichael, this school is divided into lower, middle and upper divisions. In the upper school, the majority of classes are conducted on a coordinate basis with Greenwich Academy, a neighboring girls' school. The rigorous college preparatory program provides honors and Advanced Placement courses in every subject and a comprehensive arts curriculum. All students take part in the athletic program, through either intramural or interscholastic competition. Every boy in grades 9-12 also participates in a class community service project. Computer instruction is integrated into the curriculum at all grade levels, and upper school students lease wireless-equipped laptops for use in the classroom and at home. The lower and middle schools occupy a separate campus at 1252 King Street, while the preschool is located at 116 Maple Avenue.
