Founded in 1863 by Episcopal bishop Joseph Talbot to educate children of Nebraska's early pioneers, Brownell-Talbot is now a nonsectarian school that emphasizes college preparation. Located on a 17-acre, wooded campus, the school offers a rigorous academic program supplemented by Advanced Placement courses. Upper school pupils (grades 9-12) perform 10 hours of required community service annually. Technology enhances instruction at all levels. Upper school students purchase their own laptop computers for classroom use. Middle and lower school classes have access to two computer labs and two laptop mobile carts.
