Brother Rice High School

The Congregation of Christian Brothers conducts this school, which draws its students from the southwest side of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Brother Rice provides several special options for academically gifted pupils: a selective program for gifted students, honors and Advanced Placement classes, and a program for juniors and seniors wishing to take dual-credit college courses. In addition, the school offers assistance to boys in need of individualized strategies to improve their academic skills and prepare for college. Students satisfy the following community service requirements: 10 hours per year in grades 9 and 10, 20 hours annually in grades 11 and 12.
