Brophy College Preparatory School

This Jesuit college preparatory high school was founded by Mrs. William Henry Brophy in memory of her late husband. While open only to male applicants, Brophy shares most activities and some courses with Xavier College Preparatory, a girls' school located on adjoining property. Students follow an extensive college preparatory course of studies, including a number of Advanced Placement courses. Boys and girls fulfill course requirements in English, math, science, social studies, religious studies, fine arts, speech, computer science and health/physical education. In addition, Brophy requires community service of its students: 10 hours during freshman year, 40 hours sophomore year and 50 hours junior year.
