British School of Amsterdam
Anthonie van Dijckstraat 1, 1077 ME Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Founded in one section of a Dutch primary school with an original enrollment of 10 students, BSA moved to its current location in 1983 as enrollment steadily increased. The school follows the British National Curriculum for Key Stages 1-4. ESL serves those lacking English fluency, and the study of Dutch begins in kindergarten. French, Spanish and German are language options in Key Stages 3 and 4. After-school clubs, residential trips abroad intended to hone foreign language skills, and a work experience program in grade 9 supplement academics.
