Boys' Latin School
822 W Lake Ave, Baltimore, MD 21210
Founded by Evert M. Topping, a Princeton professor, Boys' Latin serves the needs of young men in the Baltimore area. Originally located downtown, the school moved in 1960 to its present location, a 41-acre campus in Roland Park. The oldest independent, nonsectarian school for boys in the state, Boys’ Latin combines college preparatory academics, arts, athletics and cocurricular activities with a character development program. The lower school emphasizes language arts and mathematics, while the middle school stresses the five traditional subjects. In the upper school, qualified juniors and seniors may choose from a variety of electives and Advanced Placement courses beyond the traditional disciplines. Students in grades 9-12 perform 10 hours of required community service per year.
