Arnhem International School

Lorentz Lyceum, Groningensingel 1245, 6835 HZ Arnhem, The Netherlands

Enrolling students representing approximately 45 nationalities, AIS comprises two departments in two different Dutch schools. The primary department shares quarters with the Dr. Aletta Jacobs School, which has both Dutch and international sections. While instruction is in English, children have direct exposure to Dutch culture and customs. Part of the Lorentz Lyceum, the secondary department offers English, Dutch and German as both first and second languages, and provides support to those unfamiliar with these languages. Two International Baccalaureate components, the Middle Years Program and the Diploma Program, are part of the secondary curriculum. During the secondary years, remedial services are available for pupils with dyslexia and dyscalculia. The rural Arnham region is accessible to various housing and public facilities.
