Amman Baccalaureate School

PO Box 441, Sweileh, Amman, 11910 Jordan

Although the vast majority of its students are Jordanian, ABS enrolls international pupils from more than a dozen other nations. In addition to readying students for the national diploma, the curriculum provides preparation for the IB Diploma. The creative arts and community service are important cocurricular aspects of the program. Grades K-8 conduct bilingual (Arabic and English) programs, after which students have the option of studying exclusively in English. A two-year kindergarten program and junior school (grades 1-5) focus on the child's personal and social development. The school offers the Middle Years Program in grades 6-10 prior to the two-year IB Diploma curriculum. Among ABS' staff are some instructors with special-needs expertise.
