American School of Paris
41 rue Pasteur, BP 82, 92216 Saint Cloud, France
Located on a 12-acre campus adjacent to the Parc de Saint Cloud, ASP provides an American-style curriculum for students from some 50 countries. The school teaches English and French as both first and second languages, and ESL instruction is available in grades 1-7. The lower school (grades pre-K-5) includes an integrated language arts program and specialist teachers in several disciplines; in addition, a teacher serves pupils with special needs. Middle schoolers (grades 6-8) follow an interdisciplinary program that features team teaching in the core subjects. A selection of cocurricular courses enriches the curriculum. Students in the upper school participate in the International Baccalaureate and AP programs before ultimately earning the American high school diploma. Graduates go on to universities throughout the world, especially institutions in the US, Canada, the UK and France. ASP emphasizes students' acquisition of French language skills while making extensive use of Paris and its environs as curricular resources. Pupils embark on field trips at all grade levels, and on extended study trips in grades 2-8. A varied program of fine and performing arts offerings, sports and other extracurricular activities supplements coursework.
