ACLD Tillotson School

ACLD Tillotson School provides a comprehensive educational and social transition program for boys and girls with moderate to severe neurological impairments and severe specific learning disabilities that may involve a complex combination of disorders. The school maintains small classes to facilitate individualized attention to student needs. ACLD's educational program is a composite and adaptation of a system of programs: learning support (with a concentration on language development, reading and learning strategies); life skills support and transition services; emotional support and social skills training; and specific types of physical support. Services are delivered in a highly structured and therapeutic setting. Length of stay averages five to six years. Pupils who remain at the school through grade 12 and successfully complete their IEP earn a certified high school diploma. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, Discalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Learning Differences, Nonverbal Learning Differences, Orthopedic/Neurological Disabilities, Pervasive Development Disorder.
