ACCEL provides an individualized curriculum with an appropriate balance of academic, vocational and daily living skills. Intense programming in small classrooms with a low student/staff ratio helps each student to reach his or her potential. Vocational programs are designed to teach students work skills and prepare them socially and emotionally for a productive life. Both on-site and off-site employment opportunities provide real-life situations intended to develop confidence, responsibility and independence. Therapy services, which include horseback riding and swimming programs, aim to enhance motor development, sensory awareness, language development, and social and emotional growth. The school accepts the following conditions: Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities, Muscular Dystrophy, Orthopedic/Neurological Disabilities, Spina Bifida, Traumatic Brain Injury.
